02:57 GMT : اعتبرت صحيفة "لوس أنجلوس تايمز" الأمريكية أن د- محمد البرادعي مدير الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية السابق فشل في قيادة الشباب الذين التفوا حوله عقب عودته للبلاد
رافعًا لواء التغيير وتعديل الدستور متحدياً الحزب الوطني الحاكم، مشيرة إلى أن نجم البرادعي خفت بعد أن تمكن الشباب المصري من إطلاق الثورة الشعبية وإرغام الرئيس حسني مبارك على التنحي.وتابعت الصحيفة في تقرير لها بعنوان "نجم محمد البرادعى يخبو في مصر": "إن المؤيدين للدبلوماسي البالغ من العمر 68 عاما كانوا يعتقدون أنه رجل ثوري وأوحى لهم بإمكانية التغيير إلا أنه لم يقدهم في مظاهراتهم بالشارع ضد الدولة البوليسية وعاد إلى البلاد عقب أيام من انطلاقها. وقال رجل الاعمال المصري أحمد حنا : "البرادعي جاء من بعيد فماذا يعرف عن مصر ".
English : By the time Egyptians forced President Mubarak to quit, the enthusiasm for former U.N. nuclear regulator Mohamed ElBaradei had dwindled. He is viewed as a reluctant revolutionary who inspired but didn't lead.
But even as Egyptians forced President Hosni Mubarak to step down Friday, the enthusiasm for ElBaradei had dwindled. The 68-year-old diplomat is viewed by many as a reluctant revolutionary, a man who inspired them but didn't lead them into the streets against the police state.
The former head of the United Nations nuclear regulatory agency has shown flashes of courage and tenacity. On Jan. 28, he prayed outside a Cairo mosque. He then turned and walked toward barrages of tear gas and water cannon fired by riot police. It was an image Egyptians had been awaiting for months, but as quickly as it happened, he disappeared.
"He just arrived from abroad," businessman Ahmed Hanna said. "What does he know about Egypt?"
