مشاهير123 - قال شاهدان إن بلدة الزنتان بغرب ليبيا تعرضت لقصف مدفعي كثيف من قوات موالية لمعمر القذافي يوم الاثنين مما اجبر السكان على الهرب وبعضهم الى كهوف في المنطقة الجبلية.وقال عبد الرحمن ضو لرويترز بالهاتف من البلدة "تدمرت عدة منازل وسقطت مأذنة مسجد ايضا. وارسلت قوات جديدة اليوم لمحاصرة المدينة. ويوجد الان ما لا يقل عن 40 دبابة في سفوح الجبال القريبة من الزنتان."
وقال الصحفي السويسري جيتان فاناي الذي تم الاتصال به ايضا بالهاتف ان هذا كان اشد قصف تشهده البلدة في ثلاثة ايام. وقال "اليوم بدأت هذه المعركة الضارية على الجبهة الشرقية. واختبأت النساء والاطفال في الكهوف في الغابات.

English: Machahir123 - Two witnesses said the western Libyan town of Zintan faced heavy shelling from forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi on Monday, forcing residents to flee, including to caves in the mountainous region.
"Several houses have been destroyed and a mosque minaret was also brought down," Abdulrahmane Daw told Reuters by phone from the town. "New forces were sent today to besiege the city. There are now at least 40 tanks at the foothills of the mountains near Zintan."
Swiss journalist Gaetan Vannay, also reached by telephone, said the shelling was the heaviest in three days. "Today this very strong battle started on the eastern front. Women and children hid in the caves in the forests."
