مشاهير123- قامت عضوة الكونغرس الأمريكي بنشر أولى الصور لها على موقع الفيسبوك وذلك بعد الحادثة التي تعرضت لها في ولاية اريزونا الأمريكية بمدينة توكسن قبل 5 أشهر .
فقد تم نشر الصور في الساعات الأولى من يوم الأحد 12/06/2011 على صفحتها على الفيسبوك التي تضم أكتر من 27 ألف معجب.و تظهر عضوة الكونغرس وهي حليقة الشعر و تبتسم للكاميرا و كانت تجلس بقربها امرأة خارج المستشفى ربما بالحديقة.

و كانت الحادثة اطلاق النار أدت الى مقتل ستة أشخاص وإصابة إثنى عشر آخرين خلال التجمع السياسي الذي شهدته تاكسون في ولاية أريزونا جنوب غرب البلاد قبل خمس أشهر . من بين الضحايا القاضي الفيدرالي جون رول وطفلة في التاسعة من العمر، إضافة إلى أعضاء من فريق النائبة الديمقراطية غابرييل غيفوردز التي أصيبت أيضاً برصاصة في الرأس أثناء عملية إطلاق النار ونقلت على جناح السرعة إلى المستشفى مع المصابين.

غابرييل غيفوردز انتخبت لعضوية مجلس النواب للمرة الأولى في عام ألفين وستة، ثمّ اعيد انتخابها قبل أسابيع في انتخابات منتصف الولاية مطلع تشرين الثاني-نوفمبر.

The photos were taken on May 17 at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital. She underwent a cranioplasty the next day.

English: Machahir123-- The first photos of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords have been released since she was shot in the head in a mass shooting in Tucson about five months ago.

The photos appeared early Sunday on her Facebook page.

Both pictures show the congresswoman outside. In one she is alone and smiling at the camera, her hair trimmed short. In another, she is sitting with a woman.

Giffords has been in a Houston rehab facility since two weeks after the Jan. 8 shooting. Six people were killed and 13 were injured, including Giffords.

Since the shooting, the only time the public was able to glimpse Giffords was April 27 as she boarded a plane to Florida to watch astronaut husband Mark Kelly launch into space. The grainy footage showed Giffords slowly but purposefully walking up the airplane's stairs.

The photos were taken by P.K. Weis of SouthwestPhotoBank.com. He has worked as a photojournalist in the Southwest for about four decades. He worked at the Tucson Citizen for 36 years, including 30 as photo editor, until the paper closed in 2009. Weis has known Congresswoman Giffords for more than a decade, since before she was first elected to the Legislature.
