مشاهير123- قال رئيس الوزراء البريطاني، ديفيد كاميرون، للمشرعين في البرلمان الأربعاء، إنه لو كان يعلم بما يعرفه الآن بشأن مستشاره السابق، رئيس التحرير السابق في صحيفة “نيوز أوف ذي وورلد”، آندي كولسون، لما كان عرض عليه الوظيفة .

واضطر كاميرون لمواجهة أكثر من 130 سؤالاً فيما كان يدلي بتصريح أمام مجلس العموم البريطاني، تتعلق بعلاقته بمتورطين في فضيحة التنصت، التي تصدرتها صحيفة “نيوز أوف ذي وورلد”، التي كانت أكبر صحيفة تصدر الأحد قبل أن يتم إغلاقها إثر الفضيحة .

وأنكر كاميرون أي محادثات غير ملائمة بشأن جهود تملك “بي سكاي بي” من قبل القطب الإعلامي روبرت مردوخ، المتورط بالفضيحة، كونه مالكاً لمجموعة “نيوز كورب”، التي تمتلك نيوز أوف ذي وورلد .

وأصر كاميرون على أن كولسون يجب أن يعتبر بريئاً إلى أن تتم إدانته بفضيحة التنصت، أو بالتستر عليها، بينما كان يعمل في تلك الصحيفة .

David Cameron Faced More Than 130 Questions

English: Machahir123-- Prime Minister David Cameron emphatically denied claims that his staff tried to stop an inquiry into phone hacking at the News of the World and defended his decision to hire one of the tabloid’s editors as his communications chief.

In a raucous emergency session Wednesday in Parliament, Cameron did admit that both the ruling Conservatives and the opposition Labour parties had failed to pursue key developments in the hacking case and had actively courted media baron Rupert Murdoch.

"The clock has stopped on my watch and we need to sort it out," Cameron told lawmakers, promising that a government inquiry would examine the cozy relationship between British politicians and media and investigate whether other news organizations may have broken the law.
