مشاهير123- اعلنت الامم المتحدة الاثنين سقوط 600 قتيل على الاقل واكثر من 985 جريحا في مواجهات قبلية في جنوب السودان.وقال متحدث باسم الامم المتحدة فرحان حق ان الصدامات بدأت الخميس الماضي في ولاية جونقلي في جنوب السودان.

وقال حاكم الولاية, كول مانيانغ جوك "شهدت منطقة بيير  (الخميس) في الخامسة صباحا هجوما استمر طوال النهار".

واضاف انه جرى حتى الان العثور على 38 جثة في المنطقة، بينها جثث لنساء واطفال، غير ان عدد الضحايا قد يرتفع الى 40 او خمسين قتيلا مع استكمال التحقيقات.

واضاف "يتردد ان عدد المصابين يتراوح بين خمسين ومئة".

وقال انه يشتبه في ان افرادا من قبيلة مورلي هاجموا خمس قرى تابعة لقبيلة لو نوير في منطقة بيير واضرموا النار في البيوت.

واضاف "سرقوا الماشية وخطفوا نساء واطفالا".

وتابع "من المعروف ان اشتباكات تجري بين القبائل في منطقة جونقلي وتتعلق عادة بالماشية".

SOUTH SUDAN CLASHES KILL 600 - UN

English: Machahir123-- At least 600 people have been killed in ethnic clashes in the eastern state of Jonglei, according to the South Sudanese authorities.

Reports said that  hundreds of people had been wounded and more than 200 abducted, mainly children.

The clashes took place on Thursday when members of the Murle group are said to have attacked the majority Lou Nuer, stealing nearly 40,000 cattle.

Jonglei is one of the newly-independent country's least safe areas.

The fighting took place, according to several sources including the state governor, when young Murle men attacked several locations inhabited by the Lou Nuer in and around the town of Pieri. Much of the town has apparently been burnt down.

The Murle were apparently seeking revenge for a recent attack by the Lou Nuer.
