Murdoch's Foam Attacker Gets 6-Week Jail Sentence

مشاهير123- أصدرت المحكمة البريطانية في لندن على جونثان ماي باولز, وهو الناشط الذي  حاول الاعتداء على رئيس مجموعة نيوز كورب الإعلامية روبرت ميردوخ خلال انعقاد جلسة الاستماع الخاصة لبرلمانيين بريطانيين للنظر في فضيحة التنصت على المكالمات الهاتفية التي قامت بها صحيفة نيوز أوف ثاوورلد, حكما بحبس الناشط 6 أسابيع في السجن.

و على الفور تمكنت الشرطة البريطانية من منع محاولة الاعتداء و تقييد المتظاهر الذي يبدوا أنه من ضحايا التنصت على المكالمات الهاتفية التي طالت أكثر من أربعة آلاف شخص.

وحضر ميردوخ برفقة إبنه جيمس جلسة الاستماع البرلمانية للرد على اسئلة النواب بخصوص فضيحة التنصت التي تسببت بعاصفة اعلامية وسياسية.

FOAM MAN JAILED FOR 6-WEEKS

English: Machahir123-Jonathan May-Bowles, the activist-comedian who tried to hit Rupert Murdoch with a shaving-cream pie, received a six-week jail sentence.

May-Bowles, who uses the stage name "Jonnie Marbles," attacked Murdoch last month while the media mogul was testifying before a House of Commons committee looking into a phone-hacking scandal at one of his British tabloids.

"This is a parliamentary process, which as you know conducts itself with dignity and in a civilized fashion," District Judge Daphne Wickham told May-Bowles at his sentencing. "Everybody else in the room expected that, with one exception -- you."

May-Bowles, 26, was blocked from landing his pie by, among others, Murdoch's wife, Wendi, who jumped up from behind her husband and slapped the attacker.

Before launching his attack on Murdoch, he used Twitter to announce, "It is a far better thing that I do now than I have ever done before #splat."
