مشاهير123- قامت الشرطة البريطانية بالقاء القبض على ريبيكا بروكس الرئيسة التنفيذية لوحدة الصحف البريطانية في نيوز إنترناشيونال الذراع البريطانية لشركة نيوز كوربوريشن حسب سكاي نيوز.
بروكس البالغة من العمر 43 سنة استقالت من منصبها يوم الجمعة الماضي بسبب تورطها في فضيحة التنصت على الهواتف والقرصنة على الرسائل الإلكترونية التي أدت الأسبوع الماضي إلى إغلاق صحيفة نيوز أوف ذا وورلد.
امبراطور الاعلام روبرت مردوك قدم اعتذارا في محاولة مجموعة نيوزكورب تهدئة الصخب بسبب الفضيحة التي هزت الشركة وقضت على اثنين من كبار المسؤولين الصحفيين العاملين فيها.
زعيم المعارضة العمالية في بريطانيا ايد ميليباند تقدم بمذكرة الى مجلس العموم تطلب من نيوز كورب سحب عرضها لشراء قنوات بي-سكاي-بي وطالب بتفكيك الفرع البريطاني من المجموعة الاعلامية التابعة للأسترالي الأمريكي روبرت ميردوك.
وفتح مكتب التحقيقات الفدرالي تحقيقا أوليا لمعرفة ما اذا كانت عمليات تنصت غير قانونية جرت خصوصا على هواتف ضحايا لاعتداءات 11 أيلول سبتمبر 2001.

English: Machahir123-- British police arrested Rebekah Brooks the former chief executive of Rupert Murdoch’s UK newspaper business on Sunday.

The 43 year old was being questioned over allegations of phone hacking and corruption.

Brooks, who resigned on Friday from News International, is the 10th person to be arrested in connection with the scandal.

Her former boss, billionaire Rupert Murdoch, took out adverts in several British newspapers over the weekend to apologise for his newspapers’ “mistakes.”

But opposition politicians still want the media mogul’s empire to be broken up. Labour party leader Ed Miliband thinks Murdoch has “too much power” over British public life. He’s called for new laws governing media ownership.

It was the first weekend without the infamous News of the World, which was until last week, Britain’s best selling Sunday newspaper.

Murdoch’s competitors used the opportunity to try to grab the tabloid’s readers by dishing up more dirt on the 80-year-old’s struggling empire.
