Qatar embassy suspends mission in Syria: report

مشاهير123- أكد مسؤولون قطريون في سوريا لوكالة فرانس برس ان سفير قطر في دمشق زايد الخيارين غادر سوريا مؤخرا وقامت السفارة "بتجميد اعمالها". وقال هذا المسؤول طالبا عد كشف هويته ان "الدبلوماسيين غادروا سوريا والاعمال جمدت الى موعد لم يحدد". ولم يذكر المصدر تاريخ رحيل السفير ولا اسبابه. وكانت قطر تقيم حتى فترة قصيرة علاقات جيدة مع سوريا. لكن سلطات دمشق انتقدت بحدة قناة الجزيرة الفضائية القطرية لتغطيتها المبالغ فيها للتحركات الاحتجاجية في سوريا مذ منتصف آذار/مارس.

English: Machahir123--Qatar’s embassy in Damascus has suspended its mission after government supporters attacked the building housing it.

A Syrian employee at the embassy told Al Watan newspaper: "Members of the Qatari diplomatic mission told us that work in the embassy is suspended and all diplomats and its consular affairs section will leave for Qatar."

Last week, supporters of the Syrian government threw stones, eggs and tomatoes at the embassy in protest against the Doha-based Al Jazeera's coverage of the unrest.
