مشاهير123 - صرح  حسن الباجي محامي زين العابدين بن علي في بيان يوم الاثنين أن الرئيس التونسي المخلوع "لم يتنحى عن منصبه كرئيس لتونس و انه ينفي اصدار أوامر باطلاق النار على المتظاهرين التونسيين". 

و قال المحامي اللبناني  أكرم عازوري يوم الأحد أن بن علي "ينفي بشدة التهم التي يريدون الصاقها به" مؤكدا " أنه لم يمتلك يوما هذه المبالغ الكبيرة التي زعموا العثور عليها في مكتبه" في احد قصوره.

فقد بدأت اليوم الاثنين محاكمة الرئيس التونسي السابق زين العابدين بن علي غيابيا بعد يوم من رفضه التهم الموجهة إليه ووصف المحاكمة بأنها تهدف إلى تحويل الانتباه عن الصعوبات التي تواجهها البلاد.

وفي حالة إدانته بالتهم الموجهة إليه يمكن أن يُحكم على بن علي بالسجن مدة قد تصل إلى 20 سنة.

بينما قال أحد محاميي الرئيس التونسي المخلوع زين العابدين بن علي، الذي انطلقت محاكمته غيابيا اليوم الاثنين في تونس، إن فريق الدفاع سيطلب إرجاء المحاكمة للتمكن من التحضير الجيد لملف الدفاع.

وقال المحامي حسني الباجي لفرانس براس "سنطلب إرجاء الجلسة للاتصال مع موكلنا وتحضير وسائل الدفاع عنه".

English: Machahir123 - -According to one of  the lawyers of the ousted Tunisian president,Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, he said on Monday that he has not stepped down from his post as Tunisian president. On the other hand, The legal team of the ousted Tunisian president, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, who has gone on trial in Tunis, intends to request a postponement to prepare his defence, according to one of his lawyers.

Ben Ali fled to Saudi Arabia on January 14 in the face of a popular uprising against his 23-year rule and is being tried in absentia by a criminal court over scores of cases against him and his entourage.

"We will ask for a postponement of the hearing to get in contact with our client and prepare the ways to defend him," Hosni Beja, a court-appointed lawyer, told the AFP news agency on Sunday.

Akram Azoury, another Ben Ali lawyer who is based in Beirut, said earlier that his client "strongly denies all charges they are trying to press as he never possessed the sums of money they claimed to have found in his loyality.
