تعيين الفرنسية كريستين لاغارد رئيسة لصندوق النقد الدولي

مشاهير123-  قام اليوم الثلاثاء صندوق النقد الدولي، باختيار المديرة الجديدة للصندوق , وهي , وزيرة المالية الفرنسية، كريستين لاغارد التي كانت مرشحة  لفوزر بهذا المنصب.

وستشغل لاغارد المنصب خلفاً للمدير السابق، دومينيك ستراوس-كان،  الذي استقال على خلفية مزاعم تحرش جنسية بعاملة باحدى فنادق نيويورك الشهر الماضي.

و استخلص المجلس التنفيذي للصندوق، المؤلف من 24 عضواً، المدير الجديد بتوافق الآراء.

و كانت أوروبا تدعم وزيرة المالية الفرنسية، التي وضعتها مجلة فوربس ضمن قائمة أقوى 20 سيدة في العالم، وسط مطالب بعض الدول النامية بكسر احتكار الدول الكبرى للمناصب العليا في المؤسسة النقدية، قائلة إن الاختيار على أساس الجنسية "يقوض شرعية المؤسسة."

وصندوق النقد الدولي هو وكالة متخصصة من وكالات منظمة الأمم المتحدة، تأسس  بموجب معاهدة دولية في عام 1945 للعمل على تعزيز سلامة الاقتصاد العالمي.
