مشاهير123 -  قامت كندا اليوم الثلاثاء بالاعتراف بالمجلس الوطني الانتقالي المعارض في ليبيا باعتباره ممثل الشعب الليبي لتنضم بذلك الى عدة دول أخرى بينها ألمانيا مؤخرا.

و ذكر وزير الخارجية جون بيرد أمام مجلس العموم "ستعترف كندا من الان فصاعدا بالمجلس الوطني الانتقالي باعتباره الممثل الشرعي للشعب الليبي."

وكان بيرد يتحدث في اطار طلبه رسميا تمديد أجل مساهمة بلاده في مهمة حلف شمال الاطلسي في ليبيا حتى نهاية سبتمبر ايلول.

والموافقة مؤكدة لان حكومة المحافظين تتمتع بالاغلبية في المجلس.

وقال بيرد ان مهمة الحلف ليست الاطاحة بالزعيم الليبي معمر القذافي لكن موقف كندا هو أنه يتعين عليه الرحيل.

English: Machahir123- - Canada recognized Libya's rebel council on Tuesday as the Libyans' sole representative, adding its voice to several other nations, starting with France.

"Canada will ... recognize the NTC (National Transitional Council) as the legitimate representative of the Libyan people going forward," Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird told the House of Commons.

Baird spoke as he formally sought approval of an extension to the end of September of Canada's contribution to NATO's Libyan mission. Approval is assured because the Conservative government has a majority of seats in the House of Commons.

Baird walked a delicate line in saying that NATO's mission is not to oust Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi but that Canada's position is, nonetheless, that he must be replaced.
